October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and this time of year hits hard for me.
Just over a year ago I left an abusive relationship, and while I am endlessly grateful for the outpouring of love and support I've gotten from my friends and family, I wouldn’t have been able to survive without Interval House CT.
Interval House is the largest domestic violence direct support provider in CT. They assisted me with finding my angel of a lawyer, ongoing therapy, support group access, and housing access information. And they offer SO MUCH MORE to those in need - from meals for displaced families to security deposits on new homes to replacement ID cards for survivors and more.
It means the absolute world to me to be able to give back to the organization that has transformed my hope for my future and continues to support me as my girls and I transition into a new chapter. I hope I can count on y’all to help me give back to this organization and to every victim that feels as stuck and hopeless as I once did. 💜
