Hi! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Walk to End Domestic Violence. As the chair of the board of Interval House, the largest domestic violence organization in CT, I'd love for you to help me support this amazing non-profit organization, with the bold mission to end domestic violence. A few eye-opening [national] statistics for you:
- 1 in 4 women will experience severe physical, sexual and/or emotional abuse from their partner
- For women ages 16-24, that number increases to 1 in 3
- Boys who see their mothers being abused are 10x more likely to become abusers themselves
- Girls who witness the same are 6x more likely to become adult victims
On Saturday October 4, I'm walking in the Jennifer Farber Dulos Memorial Walk to End Domestic Violence at Dunkin' Park. I'd love for you to join me in raising money for this important cause by making a donation through this fundraising page - use the big purple button.
